Its nice to know I've moved up a class or two.

I had something similar happen to me this summer. Shortly after our office moved to a different town I was cooling off in front of the building when someone rode up to me and asked if I was the "guy who used to hang out over there and drink vodka all day". My lights were off, but I think I was wearing my screaming yellow vest at the time. Apparently the guy he was looking for was more interesting than me, and when he realized I wasn't who he thought I was he rode away in search of other adventures.
