oldsCOOOL - Its not coming. I have stripped all parts off and have removed the crown race from the Giant fork. It was really stuck on there but I managed to get it off without more damage than was on there originally.
Someone used a tool that removed the chrome on the bottom side in two places. I purchased one of those bearing like pullers to remove it but the fork was damaged in the process. Since I don't value it much, it is not a loss. The other discovery was that the key on the washer between the upper race and the lock nut was filed off. I can get around that but.....
My focus right now is to build up a Masi Gran Corsa using the head set from the Trek. I think the 760 will be a summer project. My thinking is to build it with Superbe parts after it is cleaned up. It may need to be repainted. It is in sad shape in that department.
