Bikes: the ever shifting stable loaded with comfortable road bikes and city and winter bikes

clipless on my touring road and bikes for summer, platforms on my grocery bike and when I winterize one of my commuter bike.

Platform pedals have one advantage in stop and go traffic, you stomp and go. No mokeying around with the pedal flip or clip.

It's only a slight advantage off the line, clips and/or straps are a degree more efficient in overall pedalling. In a crash, being clipped in is generally safer.
