This is a problem though. We don't know if his power went up because he doubled his volume or because of the changes made to the time in the various zones. Those zones look a little different than the Coggan/Allen zone percentages.
We also don't know what else he might have done in training, such as explosives and weights. It seems to me a bit odd because it's hard to develop the leg strength to TT well and pretty much only ride in z1. We also don't know if he would have done even better had he used the polarized recipe. And finally, his metabolism and talents may be such that what he did is peculiar to only him. We just don't know. That's the problem with anecdotal accounts.
