the downside if you don't continue to get rained on during the ride you'll smell like a urinal at any place you stop or when you get to your destination.
I'll pull over, whizz on the nearest bush and be on my way.

Good point. I guess I really didn't notice. I'll wash them for the next ride so it's no biggie but it may not be hygienic if left there for hours at a time. I know some endurance motorsport racing pilots do urinate while driving, not sure why you wouldn't while riding (if it's wet). Nothing worse than getting off the bike and getting your cleats full of mud while going to the bushes.
