Before intense hill attack rides I grab a few puffs from my wife's inhaler whether I may need it or not. Sometimes it feels as if my throat is burned dry from hard breathing on early, cold spring rides when I come out of winter hibernation and hit the hills hard (35-50F). In those cases there was a tickle in my throat for two days making me cough. My wife insisted I try her inhaler and it cleared up. When the spring conditioning is behind me, this becomes an infrequent situation.
