The prejudice against what everyone else is riding because of commonness, when that bike is among the best that can be had, is an unfortunate and unattractive emotional response IMO. It is very common and is likely genetically hard-wired in the human psyche. Fight the urge man, fight the urge. It leads nowhere good. Neither needing to be the same as everyone else nor needing to be different is a positive approach. Choosing a bike because it is objectively the best no matter what label is on it is where the value lies.
