Yeah really, that is too big. I raced this year on a 46 x 13 or 14, and I have a disc wheel. That gear will destroy you. Try a 47x 16. Even that is pretty big. My biggest street gear is 46 16, and since I prefer to spin than push, I usually run a 17, although that feels a little light to me sometimes, would rather have a 48.
