for what it's worth

went to my local thrift store found this 10 speed looked old,, 25 bucks, thought about and I took it to the counter , when I went to pay lady said 13 dollars half price,,, brought it home. started to repack all the bearings all day working on it ,tinkered with the deraillers front and back got them right , sprayed it down with degreaser then washed it , chrome looked real good , now I searched for the serial numbers , found them and looked them up,, Murray phoenix 26, 10 speed , turned out to be a 1973 model,, looks like somebody bought the bike and then left it in a garage or somewhere out of the weather, the tires are dry rot but are holding air ,,, I know it's not an expensive bike never was, but I just wanted to share,,,,,,,,
