If I can't find an eyelet, I will. But a decent eyelet would be far preferable. It's a double wall rim; the outer hole is 9 mm diameter, the inner hole 6 mm diameter. I can definitely make some kind of an oblong washer that would support the hole a bit, but it would be tricky, and I'm not sure how much good it would do.
