I stay off the road when I think the cager psychology makes them riskier, like on Fridays in general, but especially Fridays before holidays, around the holidays in general, when seasons change like from summer to fall, there are a couple weeks where new drivers take to the roads and start developing routines. when I bike commuted I didn't let the weather stop me. but in hindsight, if I started up again, at a new job, I would avoid high percentage lighting risk. it's also good to stay off the road if the snow plows are out. where I live they usually get the job done before and after commuter hours. trust your instinct and intuition. if you get a hunch to skip a day, there's no shame and you don't have to explain your decisions to anyone. well, you shouldn't have to anyway
