I drive to Montana 2-4 times a year to buy goods. It's 7 hours round trip and i declare what I buy and pay 5% duty. I combine it with enough other things that it's absolutely a savings for me. There is a company at the border that holds things for me. Last time was just before XMAS and I had a car full totaling $3,500. It was well worth it for me.
