Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

That's really a shame, what happened to that classic Trek......
Crumpled paper is just never adequate for shipping a bike in a box. If only the seller just used some foam pipe insulation together with the paper padding, and maybe some resilient foam sheets at the perimeter of the box, the bike would have had ten times more of a chance of getting to the buyer safely, despite the mishandling the shipping company might do along the way. Not 100% insurance, but a l0ot better than the quicky-packing method that was used.
About the repair, I'm wondering if the dent/crease can be pulled out by brazing on a few small rods along the crease line and carefully pulling at them with weighted impact puller, as now done by better car body shops.....
