Yeah, my initial lesson in Sturmey Archer triggers, back in 1980, included using a little screw driver just as nlerner describes. I've found it unnecessary since twiddling the trigger has the effect of lifting that spring anyway. But I'll admit I never got the hang of the screwdriver technique, perhaps due to having only two hands.
