In respect to that . . . the thing that I regret about using my current 52X13 single-speed is that I can't accel. as quick as I'd like to, which is a safety issue at times. Secondly, starting up hill from a stop (at a light) is near impossible. I guess I simply need to learn how to increase my top-end RPM, and that will allow me to lower my gear.
