A '72 LeChampion being set-up as a comfy graveler / occasional off-road single track rider. Without yet discussing the cogset, I'm more concerned if I have the front derailleur clearance when in the inner ring to tire if fitted with 34c. I know the frame can fit the 34c but the other issue I'm seeing is the bb spindle length. I'm not inclined to swap out the Swiss threaded Phil cartridge bb.
I'm planning on using a extra long 122+mm spindle.
