SA cables are easily fabricated using the same method they used BITD. You can use standard 1.1mm RD wire, and crimp on ends made from model aircraft brass or Stainless tubing. Make the crimps with dull diagonal cutters, which will crush the tubing without cutting anything.
If you want more strength use super glue in addition to crimping.
Great to know! I've found another thread on here that's said something similar. By "RD" wire what do you mean? To me "RD" refers to "rear derailleur".
