Thanks alot for the reply
BB= Bottom Bracket the part that your cranks attach to. Basically by leaving your bike exposed to the elements you're allowing rust to get a foothold on your parts and the life expectancy of those parts will be greatly reduced. If you have a steel frame and you're doing this you need to stop yesterday especially since you're allowing water into the frame. The only real way of avoiding this is to store the bike indoors. Back when I lived in an apartment I had a spot that I lined with plastic carpet runner (the stuff your grandma uses in high traffic areas to protect the carpet). All I had to do was pick up the bike and set it on the runner. No spots, no stains, and a full refund on the damage deposit.
