2014: 5089.3 miles, 210177 ft of climb.
2013: 5127.8 miles, 207744 ft of climb.

I use my own spread sheet for calculating miles and climb from each Garmin track, and a separate spread sheet to add them all up for the year. I also upload the tracks to RidewithGPS.com since I like playing with the interactive features. We always agree bang on for the mileage, but can differ with each other and with Garmin by several 100 feet either way.

I try to ride every day, even if it's only a short ride (4-7 miles) around the neighborhood. For the short rides, I don't bother with the GPS and just use the mileage recorded by my cycle computer. So short rides are entered with 0 climb.

In 2014, I did rides on 309 days, 152 with the GPS recording climb and 157 short rides with no record of climb.
