sram front derailleur problem
hopefully someone here can help. I am building a gravel/fireroad bike. The crankset is an FSA 130bcd with 46/38 WickWerks chainring. This is the only small set they sell for the 130bcd.
I want to run a SRAM drivetrain.
My problem is this. With a standard band mount ( frame doesn't have a braze on mount ) front derailleur, Rival or Apex, set at the proper height, the band is positioned directly over the lower waterbottle boss. not good for several reasons.
so, I was wondering if I can run a X-7 low band or is there any other SRAM front derailleur that has either a higher or lower mounting band than the Rival or Apex and can handle a 46t big ring??? Im not even sure if the X-7 2x10 will even handle a 46t ring....
This needs to be a bottom pull, 10 speed application.
I really don't want to use a braze-on adapter but if that is my last resort, so be it.
Thank you in advance for any help and advice you can give me.
