Parts, I don't care. Ultegra works great, as does Campagnolo. Have Sram on a mtb, it's fine but I never tried it on a road bike.
Cars? I could live in a world without cars and be happy to never see another one of those god damned things.

i think there was a study from a few years ago showing that past an annual personal income to $70k (avg for the nation, obviously higher or even much higher for some areas), increase in income does not come with concomitant increase in happiness
