That's a good idea, thanks. I had the same questions when I bought the frame and for what I paid for it figured, what the heck I always had the option to return it. I know my LBS very well and they are considered one of the top pro shops in the area but as you mentioned, having something in writing might be worth it. I'll consider your advice, thank you.
update: There's a LBS near me that repairs Carbon Fiber, I contacted them with some photos and they said it looks like it's just cosmetic but bring it in and they'll inspect it. Either way they said they can fix it up and it shouldn't be too expensive.
