some carriers are now using the fabulous United States Postal Service for the last leg of the route to your mailbox or door. i've noticed that all tracking can sometimes stop when the carrier hands it off to the USPS until it reaches you. i'm guessing it saves the carrier a lot of money.
it's become more common over the last 6 months.
