Ridden 52 miles in 4 rides, longest was today's 16 miler.
I'm not pushing distance nor pace, tho I was surprised with today's 13.91 average speed.
Considering I'm on a touring bike with rack trunk and handlebar bag, riding on 32c tires, that is surprisingly swift.

I received my 12-27 cassette today and am awaiting the compact crank/BB so I can lower the gearing on another
27" frame ST400 Cannondale that I put 23c tires on and no racks.
That will improve the efficiency without sacrificing the more upright (more comfortable) riding position.

But....,.looks like we're heading to Atlanta next week.
I keep a bike there, but it is a 62cm Fetish that I ride on the Silver Comet Trail.
Won't be as comfortable, but the Trail is pretty flat.
I won't miss the hills.............
Hopefully the weather will cooperate!
