About 4 months ago I bought a Brooks B17 and put it on my mountain bike to break it in for my Surly DT that I was building. Last week I did 20 miles for the last time with it on the MB and then put it on my Surly as it's almost finished. Yesterday I did 22 miles on the MB with the original saddle and here is what I found out.

Brooks saddles are awesome. After about 15 miles on the old saddle (Bontrager) I was really feeling it. Not only was my butt sore but also numb. I couldn't wait to get off the bike. Before, with the Brooks I never even knew I had been riding a bike, (butt wise).

I'm going to have to put the Brooks back on the MB until the Surly is finished. (should be done in a couple of weeks, only thing left is front and rear derailleur, and a chain)
