Wow. That's a harsh review. I've been riding an Eastside for the last year, and feel that it's a pretty decent bike. You won't find one at the Redhook Crit, but it's an okay bike with a CrMo frame that's built to a pretty inexpensive price point. The wheels are heavy, and the tires have next to zero flat protection, but the same applies to pretty much every other bike at that price point.

I've got over 2,000 miles on mine so far, and have had absoutely zero reliability issues, other than too many damned flats. A new set of tires will fix that problem. It's a solid commuter/beater bike.

What did you expect to get from a bike that's routinely sold for under $500.00?
