It's a fast bike for sure, but to me (long distance rider/NOT a racer) gearing, geometry or lack of front suspension will not be the best combination for unpaved, bumpy or hilly trails.
If you like trails, and like to fly over the bumps - this bike may fit you well.


Otherwise, Giant Roam may be your other choice, even if slower, it will be more comfy, better for not so perfect trails and easier for hilly terrain.


If I was buying bike ONLY for the way it looks - Anyroad would be my choice. It's awesome looking...but since you are new to biking - make sure to buy a bike you will enjoy riding on, and one that fits terrain and your riding style/needs.
