Exercise/Sports
-- walking in general (I cover about 800 km a year)
-- hiking trails, especially up mountains
-- going to the gym/working out/weightlifting/rowing
-- canoeing (Rowan and I have a canoe and went out a few times last summer ... unfortunately, it's in storage right now)
-- water sports of various sorts
-- swimming
-- cross country skiing
-- snowshoeing
-- tobogganing
-- yoga
All of these things benefit my cycling by improving my fitness and allowing me to cross-train. They do, however, depend where I live ... I haven't done any of the winter activities since I moved to Australia, but we do have snowshoes now, so maybe we'll use them this year.
Other Activities
-- attending classes (I have attended over 140 post-secondary courses of various sorts and length and subjects)
-- reading
-- photography ... just getting into it and attending a photography class!!
-- drawing and playing around with a bit of art
-- baking ... I've started experimenting again.
I "graduated" from the photography class, but would be tempted to take more.
And as most of you probably know, I enjoy taking photographs while cycling.
