I get a lot of vague replies to my ads and I'm sure it's just scammers harvesting active e-mail addresses. The scammers collect a large list of e-mails and sell them to companies that aren't above flooding you with spam. I never post my phone number in a ad and screen my replies before I offer my phone number. I don't consider a respondent to be serious until I talk to them.
