I bought a cheap $10 1" threaded to 1 1/8 threadless for my Ironman to see how well it would work. Well, I do like having some lighter, stiffer modern compact drops on the bike. But for aesthetics its really off putting. The main problem is that it doesn't sit flush against the head tube/headset so you see the skinny tube that then bulges out of the headset. Is there any adapter that will give a clean, flush fit?
