I'm weighing components mostly just in the interest of 'science'.
The rear brake (not including cables) was about 7oz. for instance.

There are so many discussions about old Schwinn weight on the internet but most of what I found were estimated weights.
I saw one where a guy said his bike was under 25# for instance.

It is a good kickstand. I want to see how often I wish I had it.
My other bike doesn't have one.
I can put it back on if I want to.
And now I learned how to remove one (I know putting it back on is more difficult!).
