For a couple of years I commuted along a busy highway so I was always finding weird things that fell out of cars and trucks.

A similar thing happened to me. I was riding and, "hey, a twenty dollar bill! And another, and another!" Soon I had a giant wad of cash clamped to my belly as I waddled around like a frantic game show contestant. I had to be careful because
this was a six lane highway and a lot of the money was trapped in the median. I also found a wallet and ID. It was over $200 and I found out it belonged to an Asian exchange student and he left his billfold on top of the car. He was grateful to get it back. I found another bill the next morning and he said I could keep that one. I don't know how many I may have missed.
Other things: a nice stainless steel cork-backed 18" ruler, a large new drywall sponge, an extremely explicit love letter written from a young woman to a man (torn in half), silver rings and every item of clothing imaginable.
