I took the fork out and shined a torch in but couldn't see anything. I haven't noticed any markings anywhere, then again haven't seen a dove anywhere on an Italian Conti (columbus sl) that I have! The plot thickens...

Other than markings I'm not gifted enough to tell the difference between steel types!
