See, to me the word cyclist means you ride for sport. You wear safety gear, Lycra, and ride a more sporty bike(like the one you posted). There is good reason the dutch use a different words describing the two types, as they are worlds apart and can't really be lumped together.

(Ironically, I ride a bike much like the one the older man is riding marked with the word "fietser ". I also dress much the same, even at half his age.)
BTW, there is nothing "sporty" about my bike. It is a heavy upright frame, built custom for me, with lots of practical brazons to allow for the racks and fenders (fenders are off). I call it my "truck" and designed it with the builder to be a good all around commuter/utility bike.
