When we rode the GAP the train arrived around midnight in Pittsburgh and I wasn't going to try & deal with retrieving a car in the middle of the night, so we ended up renting a car which gave a lot more flexibility with our return time. There was an Enterprise rental office not far from the Pump House, the cost savings of free parking at the pump house would offset the rental fee a bit.
