Ah, well, I do know. 1024 is a power of 2, specifically 2 to the 10th. For convenience we call it 1K in the computer world but everyone knows it is isn't one thousand. And 1M is really 1024 squared, which isn't really one million, now is it?
But if I have to count something one by one, having to go to 1024 means 2.4% more work. I'm beginning to dislike work, or at least the unnecessary kind.
