The Z33 looks to have the same specs as, say, the Z8 which I have installed successfully on a 7-speed indexed system. The KMC website lists the Z8 under 8-speed and the Z33 under 7 and below, but that doesn't look like a significant difference. I'd say your chain should be fine.
