Yes, that is a disadvantage with the Feedback Sports stands and my "Wrench Force" stand has the same clamp. It can be frustrating to get it snug before tightening the clamping knob and I certainly can see how it wold be a hassle with a heavy bike. Otherwise, they are steady, fold up compactly and are light weight.
