You're welcome. I'm still going XTR on my new bike though. They are much cheaper. I got M987 race brakes for $160 from pricepoint when they had a sale a couple months ago. Sweet deal that I couldn't resist I didn't read any reviews on the Maguras. I jumped right in and bought them. I tend to not pay too much attention to reviews. Sure I read them, but in the end, you never know how they are going to work in your application. For your bike, I'd say they will be way more than sufficient -- overkill like you said but who cares right? You like what you like and want what you want.
