How do birds stay warm in the winter? Why do some fly south and others don't?
I have a bird house in a small rock garden and sparrows have lived there year around for 30 years. In the sub-zero temps, they ball up and block the opening. That's pretty smart. Anyway, it's funny to look at their house and see the opening plugged by feathers.
