Trying to decide on a new lock... does the Evolution offer pretty decent protection? Is the NY lock a "big" upgrade... because I mostly hear about how great the NY lock is and little about whether the evolution is any good or not.

They both use the "Through-hardened Kryptonium TM Steel shackle resists bolt cutters and leverage attacks" but the evolution has a 1/2" shackle vs the 5/8" shackle of the NY.

The NY is also quite a bit heavier and about $30 more

So what do you think?

Bike is parked at college campus during the day and stays inside of my apartment at night
