I think naysayers have it all wrong, it isn't a question of will disc brakes prevail (that's a done deal), the question is what other changes might be coming next. I can see regenerative braking used to power and tune an electromagnetic suspension fork or chainstays.

Technology and bikes will always go hand in hand.
