Well, talk is cheap, much cheaper than widening 126. I've ridden 126 a few times from Eugene to Santiam pass, it's OK, pick the right time, many people ride it over a summer.

North Shore road is so dusty, but mostly flat and a good route. If it were paved there would surely be other problems. Agree with the LTD bus options, good way to go.
