I don't keep much in my pocket. But that's because I ride with a Camelbak. (Never got around to feeling comfortable reaching for a bottle. Of course, not having a bottle makes it hard to get used to it, so I'm not sure if/when this will change.) My Camelbak carries my keys and wallet on shorter rides, and also my cell phone on longer rides. For longer rides, a bunch of Wheat Thins in a bag goes in one pocket. And on cooler days, if/when I remove arm or knee warmers, they go in my pocket.
