I've separated both a/c joints, the right one twice; all cycling. The first one happened in a my first season of racing, and it was the most painful. As I remember, the level of pain was much more than what I expected for what was considered a minor injury. I couldn't ride for a few weeks, maybe three, and after that it was day by day when it came to pulling on the bars. Climbing will be difficult, and washboard roads will be very painful. You could probably look up PT online and treat yourself, it was pretty simple and straight forward. A lot of lifting your arm, trying to get it back over your head, walking your arm up the wall, etc. With three weeks of riding left, I think it would be difficult to continue. Seems like you could park the bike, go on with your other travel while your shoulder heals, then come back and finish the bike part. It would be good to make sure it is only a grade 1 separation and that it doesn't need surgery to pin the joint back together. Hope it works out for you and you heal well.
