It DOES NOT charge super quick with just the solar charging, but its enough to keep your electronics going. If you are using your phone everyday as a GPS like I did, at some point you will need to find an outlet. Still, knowing I have 3 full charges on my phone is worth carrying the charger for

I don't know what port blackberry's use but its compatible with mini USB, micro USB, and the wider oldschool iphone ports used on the original up to the 4. It came with a few different adapters.
