A friend of mine who is really into vintage bikes suggested that I get some nail polish to cover up minor paint damage.

This seems pretty ghetto to me, especially since nail polish isn't that durable. Howevever my new-to-me fuji doesn't have enough paint damage to really warrant a lot of work, and I'd love to touch up some of the decals and such.

Is using nail polish for such minor work kosher?
