So I purchased the Hozan threading machine and have been using it only for broken spoke repairs--a couple of spokes at a time MAX--because I've heard that the cutting heads have a limited useful lifetime and are pricey to replace.

However, because of the ridiculously high cost to ship a wheel's worth of spokes to Hawaii, I'm contemplating cutting and threading all my spokes and amortizing the cost of replacement cutting heads into the cost of the wheelbuild.
The cutting heads on my Hozan specifically state that they are good on stainless steel.
Which brings me to my question.
How many stainless steel 2mm spokes can I expect to thread before I wear out a set of cutting heads? Assuming 12mm nipples which seem to require about 25 threads (turns of the crank handle) per spoke. Anybody have a clue? Thank you.
