Thank you! This looks like something different than what I've tried. I'll have to wait until after work to dive and and report back.
The process worked well for me and eliminated most of the issues caused by the v3.4 update. Currently I have to pair the phone every so often and it takes several minutes of riding before it finds the cadence sensor.
