My beloved 1984 Raleigh Record Sprint has had its frame bashed.
I plan on using the parts to start again with a new frame.

I think I have everything in full working order except frame and forks.
The original frame was a super size 64cm beast, I would like to go a bit smaller this time around.

When looking for a new frame, what are the essential measurements I need to watch for?
Is there any reason the headset, bottom bracket, deraileurs, handle bars and seat post etc wouldn't fit any frame I buy?

I will probably go for a similar vintage Reynolds steel frame again.
